Stop typing, start talking
If you’re still typing like it’s 2025, you’re missing out.
For the past month, I’ve been using Wispr Flow for pretty much everything I write — prompts to Claude, Slack messages, Linear issues, specs, even this post. Most of my day is spent talking to AI, and now I literally talk to it. Every word you’re reading right now was spoken, not typed.
Speaking is 3 to 4 times faster than typing, but the real win is energy. If you’re lazy like me, you know the feeling: you have the idea, you know what to say, but typing it all out feels like a chore. With voice, you just… say it. The full thought, no shortcuts.
It handles technical content surprisingly well too — acronyms, URLs, file paths, technical terms. Not perfect every time, but way better than I expected.
It also works great across languages. I’m French, my English accent is okay at best, and I still use English for most of my technical work. Wispr Flow handles it just fine. It works equally well in French too — I actually use it to text my wife, and she has never figured out I’m not typing. That’s probably the best compliment I can give it.
If you’ve been leaning into AI-assisted workflows, this is a natural next step. You optimize your prompts, your specs, your tools — at some point, the keyboard becomes the slowest link in the chain. Wispr Flow quietly removes that friction.
