Spotify is my work barometer
My work barometer? Spotify.
When I’m in a good flow at work, I listen to music. A lot. Loud. My library grows, I discover new artists, I dive into albums I’ve never heard before.
It’s a virtuous cycle: good energy at work makes me want music, and music feeds that energy right back.
But when the headphones go quiet? That’s usually a sign something’s off. Creativity’s stuck, motivation’s not there.
It’s become a surprisingly reliable indicator for me. If my playlist isn’t growing, time to ask myself some questions.
I recently changed jobs (Teetsh 🫶), and my Spotify is thriving again. Says a lot.
What’s your personal early warning sign?
